At Expo 2020 in Dubai, the Sweden pavilion is showcasing the collaborative spirit through renewable energy. As the official battery supplier, Nilar has furnished a sustainable energy storage system to operate in cooperation with solar panels skillfully embedded into the pavilion structure and an intelligent EnergyHub optimizing power use.
The Sweden Pavilion is based on the idea of emerging smart cities within the Scandinavian woodlands. Referred to as “The Forest”, the imaginative wooden landscape presents a metaphor for the synergy of a bio-circular economy, showcasing how technologies are brought together by innovative life sciences and smart cities.
Our batteries are designed, developed and manufactured in our state-of-the-art factory in Gävle, Sweden, powered by 100% renewable energy. With fewer parts than most battery manufacturers the build process is simplified and fully automated. Nothing leaves our factory until it has been approved at every stage of production.
Unlike most other industrial batteries, Nilar batteries are fully recyclable. They are also free of cadmium, mercury and lead, and have a miniscule amount of hard-to-recover metals. When you choose Nilar batteries, you choose the most environmentally-conscious solution available.
Using energy storage solutions to collect and deliver sustainable energy is good for the environment and for the grid. More and more homes and businesses are in vesting in energy storage. An energy storage system can support renewable energy resources, maximizing their utilization. It can reduce peaks in power consumption to save money while becoming more sustainable.
The ever-increasing growth of renewable energy in the power grid poses new challenges when it comes to grid stability and reliability of supply. Using energy storage can help smooth out the irregular power patterns of renewables such as wind turbines and solar panels, allowing us to move faster towards a carbon neutral society.
