Lars Fredriksson – CEO and President
Lars co-founded Nilar in 2000 and has extensive management, sales and marketing experience from the battery industry. He was president of Optima Batteries from 1992 to 1995. During this period he supervised the introduction of a new lead-acid battery technology and built worldwide distribution and sales organization. He is actively involved in business development for Nilar in Europe.
Maria Booth - Chief Financial Officer
Maria joined Nilar in 2009. She has a background in the financial sector and has held several positions within the Royal Bank of Scotland, Nordic Branch, the most recent as a risk and portfolio manager in the Real Estate Finance department. Maria holds a MSc from the Stockholm School of Economics with a specialization in Finance.
Marcus Wigren - Head of Sales and Marketing
Marcus joined Nilar in 2007, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience in marketing and sales of technical systems and products working for Siemens, Vacon and Gycom to mention a few. Marcus has a Bachelor of Science in computers, electronics, hi voltages and control technique and a Bachelor of Science in economics with major subject marketing. During the years working for Siemens Marcus was employed both in Germany and United States, reaching new business. During the years working for Finnish Vacon Marcus was building up the sales in Sweden very successful.
Niclas Uggla - Chief Technical Officer
Niclas joined Nilar in January 2011 and has as patent attorney drafted and prosecuted all IPR assigned to Nilar since 1999, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience from technology development and IPR issues working for international companies like Ericsson AB and Allgon AB. In addition, he brings more than 10 years of management experience as partner in Ehrner & Delmar Patentbyrå AB and Aros Patent AB.
Johan Lundberg - Head of Manufacturing
Johan joined Nilar in late 2010, bringing with him more than 18 years of management experience from Ericsson, where he has held numerous positions and managed the build up as well as running of Ericsson’s global manufacturing for base stations.
US Sales and Application Office
Joseph Heckel – Managing Director
Joe joined Nilar in 2009, and has spent his entire career in the Battery Industry. Previously, he worked as V.P. Sales for a Lead Acid Battery manufacturer ( 5 years). Prior to that, Joe spent the remainder of his career with Energizer Battery as V.P. /G.M. - Business Development. Joe has a BA from the University of Maryland.
Richard Howlett – Chief Engineer
Richard joined Nilar in 2004 and previously worked as a program manager at Hewlett Packard. Richard earned a M.S. degree from Texas Tech, with his thesis involving hybrid and electric vehicles.
